About The Grant

The purpose of this scheme is to support voluntary Buddhist/Tibetan organizations including Monasteries engaged in the propagation and scientific development of Buddhist/Tibetan culture, tradition and research in related fields.

The grant aims to promote Arts & Culture, Research & Documentation in India.

Grant/Award Information

There is no grant ceiling, since this is a research based grant. The components are defined in the application form here.

Eligibility Criteria

NGOs, Societies are eligible for this grant.

How to Apply

The organization should submit complete application along with the following documents/information to judge the eligibility of the organization through the concerned State Government/UTs. The organisation, however, located in North Eastern States, Sikkim, Leh and Kargil districts of Jammu & Kashmir are exempted to submit their applications direct to Ministry of Culture only with the recommendation of concerned District Collector/Dy. Commissioner.

About The Organisation

The Ministry of Culture is the Indian government ministry charged with preservation and promotion of art and culture. Mahesh Sharma is the current Minister of Culture. Recently the government has established the National Mission on Libraries India under this ministry.
