About The Grant

Individuals and organisations working in the K-12 Education space can apply for the Grant Making scheme of Central Square Foundation which is open throughout the year. CSF's strategy is aimed at identifying the gaps in the ecosystem and then, supporting the organisations which have the potential to fill those gaps successfully. In addition to providing financial support, Central Square Foundation also provides Strategic and Operational Support, Ecosystem support and Mentorship and help them to establish clear benchmarks that incrementally reduce their dependence on CSF's support and help them identify resources to grow independently.

Timeline
  • There is no specific timeline and applications can be submitted at any time of the year.

  • The process can be broken down to:
  • Application Stage (2 weeks)
  • Due Diligence Stage (5 weeks) - Selected applications are invited to submit detailed proposals.
  • Selection Stage (4 weeks) - Organisations with selected proposals are asked to work with relevant teams at CSF for 2-3 weeks to prepare a pitch.
  • The total process is completed within 3 months of the application.
Focus Area

The current areas of focus are:

  1. Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  2.  Ed-tech for K-8
  3. Public systems delivery
  4. Others ( include School-to-Work transition and Services for affordable private schools)
Grant/Award Information

CSF provides unrestricted/non-programmatic funding support to grantees for overall organisational development. The support is typically for a duration of one year, renewable based on a review. We fund our grantees in 3 stages:

  1. Incubation Stage (EdCelerate): INR 8 Lakh - INR 20 Lakh per year
  2. Acceleration Stage (EdVenture): INR 20 - 70 Lakh per year
  3. Growth Stage (Growth - Given only to existing grantees): INR 70+ Lakh per year
