Nestlé Foundation initiates and supports research in human nutrition with public health relevance in low-income and lower middle-income countries.

Timeline

There are no fixed submission deadlines for a letter of intent. A letter of intent can be submitted anytime during the year. The evaluation takes place once in April and then in September.

Focus Area

The focus areas are agriculture, food & nutrition, public health and Social Sciences.

Grant/Award Information

Depending on the type of grant the award amount varies from up to 20’000 USD to up to 100’000 USD per year for a maximum of 3 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Individuals as well as NGOs.

How to Apply

The guidelines are given in detail here. The application procedure is given from Pg 10. Ideally, the application should not exceed 25 pages (US A4 sheet).

About The Organisation

The Nestlé Foundation for the Study of Problems of Nutrition in the World was established in 1966 by a donation by the Nestlé Company on the occasion of its centenary. The Foundation is independent and self-constituting and is managed by a Council. The Foundation is and has been financially and operationally independent of the Nestlé Company since its inception. The offices of the Nestlé Foundation are in Lausanne, Switzerland.
