A 100% green technology that converts raw sewage and organic effluent into drinking water quality without the use of chemicals and RO technology and creates no sludge or odour in addition to working on solar and non solar modules with the least amount of electricity needed. Price of water comes down to Rs. 0.12 paise per litre.

Water recovery from sewage is currently the only source of rejuvenating ground water and rivers and usage in homes, due to the depleting levels of ground water . Absolute Water Pvt. Ltd. (AWPL) has developed a reasonably priced technology that converts raw sewage into WHO standard of drinking water quality in a green and totally organic way. It is based on vermiculture, ozonation and specially customized membranes that results in potable quality water. It has no sludge generation , has no odour or color. It can be a modular plug and play structure that can be transported anywhere or a civil based structure for more permanent usage, and is especially advantageous in terms of opex costs. A guaranteed a return on investment can be realised within 2-3 years. Every bit of this technology is fully sustainable and circular in nature . 85% of the water can be treated to the quality desired and 15% of the reject is actually full of rich nutrients that can be used as liquid manure. Every inch of this plant is revenue generating for the user and very easy to use where even unskilled labour can be trained on the spot to use it well.

The innovation

THE INNOVATION

Every citizen gets access to pure drinking water 24x7 from the convenience of their taps at very nominal affordable rates , and in some cases almost free. Ground water recharging increases the water tables and river rejuvenation brings about the physical development of flora and fauna and aquatic life. Households can replace their pipes with treated water from the installed AWPL plants rather than being dependent on municipal water which also carries tons of contaminants and bacteria. Most importantly the use of sewage, which when drains are clean and free from sewage, no water borne disease, or insects will develop in and around ones homes and zones keeping the whole environment around hygienic and healthy.

Environmental Impact

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

The quality of treated water helps in rejuvenating rivers/ponds/wells etc, increasing and recharging ground water tables, can be used at home to replace all water used for cleaning, washing, drinking etc. and for industry where treated water can be recycled back into their manufacturing process doing away with the need to buy water and dig deep borewells for the same .

SOCIAL IMPACT

SOCIAL IMPACT

Works towards averting the water crisis by becoming a source of water supply for personal and industry use.

ECONOMIC IMPACT

ECONOMIC IMPACT

The capex cost is 15% higher than conventional methods, but the opex cost, namely the operation and maintenance cost is minimal and the cheapest in the market, as there is no chemical dosing and heavy duty machinery used. The unit per electricity cost is only for 0.5hp motor. And in case one goes for solar, its free ad whatever excess is generated goes back in to the main grid, also subsidies are available for the same.
The return on investment is within 1-2 years for smaller unit and 5 years for the bigger ones where the treated water is a million litres and above .
The cost of treated water is .12 paise per litre compared to municipal water at Rs. 4 -5 per litre. "
