These modular and adaptable to different street vending businesses (A stove for street-food, fridge for beverages or a mobile money terminal) carts are run on solar energy, helping millions of vendors all over the world.

Each Musana Cart Each cart is fitted with a solar panel, 2 light bulbs, 2 electric outlets and any business features required by the vendor like - eco-stoves, cooling boxes, 40l fridges, mobile money terminals and modular flexibility for a tv or a radio, fitted within the cart in a safe and secure way. Priced at $500, these carts are changing the lives of street vendors in a good way.

The innovation

THE INNOVATION

Most street food vendors are immobile, with simple tables built by local carpenters. They don't have electricity and are unable to cook on the go. Musana Carts are the first legal, standardized and safe carts for street food in Kampala. By positioning themselves as a bridge between the city council and the vendors, they have developed carts suited to the vendor’s needs. Additionally, they also work with local microfinance partners to provide their customers with the capital to pay for the cart over a year.
