This alternative to plastic disposable cutlery has a shelf life of 24 months. They developed this product-edible cutlery with grain/ millet combinations, needing no added ingredients, chemical to preserve it for long shelf life and making it hard and durable. Sweet and spicy tastes are added and the cutlery is made in all shapes, like small dip bowls and fruit bowls.
Every year, 120 billion pieces of disposable plastic cutlery are discarded in India alone.
