JALDOOT the water messenger is dedicated to the rural community for accessing safe drinking water at doorsteps, thus helping the community to reduce health issues related to water-borne diseases. It promotes entrepreneurship and employment generating model especially for rural women and improves the overall livelihood in villages.

India has the highest number of people in the world without access to safe water as per Water Aid report 2016, the number being 5% of the population. Nearly 550 million people have to walk far away to fetch the water from its source, exposing women and children to a variety of challenges. Nearly 140,000 children die every year from diarrheal diseases caused by contaminated water and more than 90% of communicable diseases in India is water-borne, which can be prevented with access to safe to drinking water. It leads to financial losses due to medical treatment of water-borne diseases, mortality and morbidity. It has a negative impact on livelihood earning due to absenteeism, School dropouts (specifically among teenage girls) and opportunity cost for the time being wasted to fetch water from distant sources.
It is highly scalable and sustainable safe drinking water delivery model. The idea behind Jaldoot is to reduce rural women's traveling long distances to a source of water carrying water pots on their heads, a very stressful, fatigue prone and time-consuming. It makes safe drinking water accessible to the rural community at door steps and helps them to reduce various health issues related to water-borne diseases like - Typhoid, Cholera, Dehydration etc. The majority of water sources in rural areas are highly contaminated with chemicals like `iron, fluorides, nitrates, and bacterias like e-Coli, coliform. The community proposed to pay the reasonable cost if they could get clean and safe drinking water at door steps.
